Chief-ParkerThe Dalton Police Department, led by Chief Jason Parker, is a certified police agency with the Georgia Police Certification Program. Of the more than 435 municipal agencies in the state, the Dalton Police Department is one of the only 90 to reach and maintain certification of adherence to over 100 demonstrated best practices standards. The department is made up of 85 sworn officers, and 15 support staff, making it the 12th largest municipal agency in the state. The Dalton police department has exclusive law enforcement jurisdiction within the corporate limits of the city of Dalton, and provides a full spectrum of police services.
