 Crime Statistics

Our monthly crime statistics report is a “snapshot” of the records in our computer; these numbers are constantly changing as cases are worked and crimes solved. This report is compiled within the first ten days of the month for the previous month’s numbers. The information provided represents crime data reported to the Dalton Police Department and does not include unreported crime or crime reported to other law enforcement agencies within Whitfield County. The Records Unit reports the crime data to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Georgia Criminal Information Center, which ultimately reports our crime data to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Traffic Crash Statistics 

Traffic Crash Statistics are compiled quarterly, mid-year, and at year-end for accidents investigated by the Dalton Police Department . This report lists the top accident locations by intersection and roadways within the City of Dalton. Numbers are also given for the day of the week, hour of the day, and type of accident.
