Councilperson Ward One, Denise Wood

Denise Wood, Councilwoman Ward One: Ms. Denise Wood graduated from Indiana University in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with Distinction. She began to serve in January 2008 as the first City of Dalton Councilwoman ever elected. Ms. Wood loves being environmentally active throughout the community. She is the widow of Terry Q. Wood and proud mother of Matthew Wood, Heidi Wood, Heather and Eric Carpenter.

Ms. Wood serves as a liaison for the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Solid Waste Authority.
