Mayor Mock was sworn in on November 10, 2014. Along with his mayoral responsibilities he continues to manage one of Dalton's oldest family businesses, Whitco Produce Company.
Mayor Mock is married to Debbie Whittle. Debbie is the Director of Health Information Services at Hamilton Medical Center. They have two sons. Jeremy is a physician at Geisienger Medical Center in Danville, PA, specializing in Otolaryngology. Jason is a patent attorney, specializing in Biotechnology with the law firm Foley/Lardner LLP in Washington DC.
Mayor Mock is a Life Member of Kiwanis International and he and his family are members of First Baptist Church in Dalton. He enjoys golf and exercising at Bradley Wellness Center. He completed his Masters in Health Administration at Georgia State University.

♦ Councilperson Ward One, Denise Wood
Ms. Denise Wood graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with Distinction.
She began to serve in January 2008 as the first woman ever elected to the Dalton City Council. She is the VP of Environmental Services at Mohawk Industries' Corporate Environmental Services Department, where she serves in a leadership role for many regional and statewide organizations. She is the widow of Terry Q. Wood, and the proud mother of Matt, Heather, Heidi, Eric, and Amie, and the adoring Bubbie to her granddaughter Olivia.
Ms. Wood serves on the Solid Waste Authority, Technology Committee, and the Airport Authority.

♦ Councilman Ward Four, Gary Crews
Mr. Crews, a local business man and Realtor, began to serve the council in May 2010. He is married to Kimberly and they are proud parents of John and Kara.
Mr. Crews serves on the Joint Development Authority, Trade Center, Downtown Development, Public Safety, Regional Development, and the North West Georgia Regional Commission
♦ Councilman Ward Three, Tyree Goodlett
Mr. Goodlett is a native of Dalton, Ga. He began to serve in January 2016 as the first African-American ever elected to the Dalton City Council. He is employed by The Dixie Group where he is the Merchandising Coordinator for residential business. He is a lifelong resident of Dalton, GA and is married to Ana Rojas, who works for Dalton Public Schools. They have two wonderful children together Andre Jr. and Kamea. Mr. Goodlett continues to be an active volunteer throughout the city of Dalton. He is an active member of Rock Bridge Community Church where he serves in the children’s ministry, he is also the Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 218, and Co-Founder of the non-profit organization H.O.P.E. He has served on numerous boards throughout the city.
Mr. Goodlett serves on the Recreation Commission, Housing Authority, Airport Authority, Service Delivery Committee.
